Please allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of health and taste.
Hello, I am Tim.
I am retired Fleet Air Arm veteran in the UK living off a war pension, am a bookish and arty man who worked as an aircraft fitter all around this planet of ours, riding on a Snap-On Tool Chest in assorted Boeings.
I love books and writing but this interest of mine waned in 1990, I lost all interest in books utterly, there is a reason for this but its my reason. And yes, I am a book snob of the first rank, so go f*ck yourself Martin Amis.
But now Steemit is here and I have been reading again, Bravo Zulu Steemit, you are bramah, essence and deserve a few tots of rum, its my shout.
I like the books that have stood the test of time, the books of ancient days which have been forgotten, such as The Ragiomentini by Aretino which was banned for 0ver 400 years by the Vatican, Beowulf, The Golden Ass, Gargantua and Pantagruel and J. R. Hartley. (Your starter for ten, who he?)
My chances about being Successful?
There are billions of writers around our planet, many are called but few are chosen, it's the way the biscuit disintegrates for writers. Steemit is no different it seems, another lost cause for those who struggle and labour in vain.
Needless to say this is an unashamed attempt to curry favour with some Whales and get quintillions of Steem, but as I am a footsoldier in the monstrous regiment of Steemit I have to graft like a bastard, as most do.
But I will write, write without anyone reading, write for nothing except as my story as a gift to God on the last day of all things. Selah.

Be careful out there.
