WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN AN ALIEN PLANET?

To begin with, I will tell you before I say about whether or not I will be moving to some other planet that I am yet to move out of my parents and I have seen them struggle with rent, nepa bill and other bills they pay, so when people begin to ask me "Would you like to take a trip to an alien planet?" I just laugh because I have not even sorted out my life on the planet earth yet not to talk of alien planet.

However, let's think of it this way, imagine that one morning it was really announced on TV that “Breaking News! Scientists have found a new habitable alien planet with free housing, daylight round the clock and no mosquitoes", I know before the reporter finishes the sentence, half of the people in Nigeria will already be applying for Alien Visa and the queue at the space embassy in Lagos would extend from Ikeja to Ibadan 😂. That's on a lighter note...

Now let’s talk honestly, given an opportunity to move to such a planet will be a tempting one. The thought of a place where there is no shortage of fuel, there is no traffic and there is no landlord who needs to knock to ask for rent his at the end of a month sounds heavenly. Already I can envision myself relaxing under two suns, drinking zobo, and having aliens serve me plantain chips , but then again I will need to ask some very serious questions before I pack my bags, which is "Do they pepper it on that planet?", "Hope the planet won't collapse one day", "Hope the alien don't eat humans?".

All these questions matters because firstly as a Yoruba lady if there is no pepper, forget it. I cannot eat one tastetless alien stew all day and hope aliens are not people that will feed me to feed on me in the long run because even though life is sometimes hard, nobody wants to die. Aliens are creatures that I have never seen before and I don't even think I will like one when I see one, they don't understand our language and our way of life as humans, even humans to humans have conflict on understanding one another not to talk of aliens that you aren't their type and kind. We also have to think of the longevity of the planet, hope it's not a place where hurricane or earthquake will just swallow in a day.

The life on earth is stressful but has vibes especially when you live in my country where there is always a drama for each day. We have a joy in our struggle a sort of laughing even through the difficulty of it, but do aliens ideal systems have they gist? , this is something I doubt it exists there.

Due to the fact that no matter how sweet life is anywhere, there is no place like being Nigerian where every day is the comedy show and survival training.
