Raden Wijaya is a common name used by historians to call the founders of Majapahit Kingdom. The name is contained in the Pararaton written around the end of the 15th century. Sometimes Pararaton also writes it completely, namely Raden Harsawijaya Though according to the evidence of the inscription, in the life of Wijaya (13th century or 14th) the use of the title of raden has not been popular.

Nagarakretagama written in the mid-14th century called the founder of Majapahit named Dyah Wijaya. Dyah's title was a popular knighthood at the time and became the forerunner of the Raden title. The term Raden itself is thought to originate from the words Ra Dyah or Ra Dyan or Ra Hadyan.
