The Myth Episode 5
In amazement the class at the nerd. Joey was the first child of Mr. and Mrs. Arvezgion. The latter a native of Wole and the former a hybrid between an Akan and a Kassena. Together, they produced three children. Juliet, Joan and Joey. Juliet was a student of ULM University of Applied Sciences in Germany. She was training to be an aerospace engineer. Joan was still in Junior high school 3. A good student, but had some problems with the English language. Joey occasionally taught her from time to time, but now that he was at school, only God knows how she managed it. Joey was in Farmzed Senior high school. A final year student in the science B class. He always a knack for computing and abstract stuff like that. He was a thick, but not too musclar kind of guy, brown skin, an oblong face and an ever-sweating nose. He was admired by most of the students in his class and Ama was no exception.
“Well done Group 1. You've earned your points. Take you seats” Mrs. Jane said to them.
Group 2 headed by Patrick took the reins and their presentation covered the Zekious way of life and culture. According to them, the Zekious lived very much like the ancient Mayans. Except for the human sacrifices, they were strikingly similar. Also some landmarks that distinguished them were the pyramids. While the Mayans had pyramids, the Zekious had no such buildings. Also they had some funny games in which competitors were placed in a maze and asked to find an object hidden in its center. Usually, the object was a wooden replica of the Krystone and the winner was highly honoured and giving a lot of respect. The losers however were made to go round the maze 36 times. The enormity of the maze could be compared to the size of a 1 million seater stadium today so said their research. They concluded their presentation with a poem popular among the Zekious and it went like this;
We came, we survived
We thrived, we conquered
The words of the third twins will set you free
Do not give into fear for your fear is your illusion
The dark, the light, the green merged into one will illuminate
Use it to get It, for your life force will depend on it
Venom shows the way, fur reveals the map, keratin unlocks the tomb
The roof shows the sky beneath your feet .
That concluded their presentation and the baton was passed to group 3.
Their presentation covered the destruction of the Zekious civilization. According to their findings, the last king who ruled was King Topeil. During his reign, he had powerful enemies who were the waiting for his death, so they could invade. King Topeil knew this and built the Zontelisk under his own supervision to bury himself there. As attempts to steal the Krystone were staged frequently, he hid the Krystone in the Zontelisk himself to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands as they could easily destroy themselves and a third of the world along with them. That was too much of a risk, so he hid it deep in the Zontelisk himself then rigged the place with all kinds of traps to prevent Intruders. To ensure it wasn’t lost forever, he wrote an account on a ceramic tablet and hit it inside the Zontelisk. The tablet contained detailed information on how to get to the Krystone should the need arise. He then drew a map to disclose the location of the Zontelisk with his wife, hid it in a gold chest, and buried it beneath the foundations of his palace. At last, the time came when his enemies banded together and launched their attack. The Zekious were cutdown and their kingdom was torn aprrt and razed to the ground. But what the invaders didn’t find was the golden chest that King Topeil and his wife hid which led to the Zontelisk and subsequently the Krystone. They were done with their presentation.
“Anabel, when’s the party?” Mary asked.
“Oh, umm, maybe immediately after Wassce, at Radach.” Anabel replied.
“Any guests?”
“Yeah, the entire student body.”
“Hold it! But why include all students? The year 1 and 2 students can’t come. They have to study.” Nihad cut in.
“You’re right Nihad, I think we should make it only final year students.” Ama said
“Okay, so what do you guys say?” Anabel asked them
“It’s a cool deal.” Mary supplied
“Yeah, let’s do it.” Samira added
“But then, who’s gonna be in charge of food and drinks and stuff like that?” She asked
“Talking of food, I think you Samira and Anabel should handle that one. You know the Arts department offers home economics and God knows what they teach you guys to feed us.” Ama answered her question.
“Nihad and Mary, why don’t you two be in charge of health and first aid kits just in case something ugly rears its head. You know, you’re the biologists here.” Ama suggested to her friends
“Fine by me.” They said simultaneously
They looked at each other, laughed at themselves and continued their discussion.
“Okay, before we get carried away, let’s get our tech guy who will take charge of lights, music and the likes.” Samira suggested
“Oh, Prince or Patrick will do.” Ama said
“I suggest Joey. You know, he’s good and all.” Nihad also contributed her quota
“How about James? He’s also good and does a lot of clubbing” Anabel also supplied.
“I think we have enough nominees. Let’s run a quick vote.” Ama said.
They did a quick voting and 2 votes were for Joey, 1 to Patrick, 1 to Prince and 1 to James. So Joey was the one to control the music and general IT stuff at the party. They need to vote for a leader so they did another voting of the 4 guys. Joey still won it with 3 votes, 2 for Patrick and 0 for the rest. So Joey was to take charge of all affairs relating to the party. They then decided to put Ama by his side to assist him. She reluctantly agreed and they nicknamed them Mr. and Mrs. Rho.
“Well Mrs. Rho, I think you’ll have to introduce youself formally to Mr. Rho. Formalize him with his responsibilities and what lies ahead of him.” Nihad said
“Oh, yes. I will do that immediately after here, and once thanks again.” Ama couldn’t hide her excitement.
“Nevermind. Now run along. Mr. Rho awaits you.” Anabel said to her.
The four girls looked on as their boss went in a silky feminine sky-blue Chase Deer round neck.
“Sir, the shipment has arrived.” The secretary announced.
“Okay, thanks Celina, I will be there soon. But did they tell you when it will be ready for pick-up?” He asked
“Yes. In approximately half an hour” Celina replied him.
“Okay. Thanks.”
He was the CEO of Umbrella Incorporated, a reputable firm in the world that deals in computers, technological devices, mordern weaponry for the Ghana Armed Forces and major philanthropic activity around the globe. He was contacted by The Sphere, Ghana's main military base to build 30,000 tanks each with 1 megaton of firepower that will be used to fight the terrorist group, Al-zay. The call he received from his secretary confirmed the arrival of a key component they needed.

What was that poem we read about earlier and what did it mean? Will their party come on as expected? Who is this man who was ordering for strange shipments just to build tanks?
