Three Students of Professor Pain
Three students entered Professor Pain’s lectures. Professor Pain told the young men, “I am the most honest teacher in life. However, some become deaf to my teachings, and others become blind. Those who understand my honest lessons however, will be able to bare the guidelines to get off the side-lines.” All three students confidently felt they could prosper upon Professor Pain’s lessons.
As time resided, the Professor began to enforce his honest education in many forms; emotionally, physically, intellectually and spiritually. He did not hold back upon the students as he tested their resolve, character, soul.
The first student became deaf. He didn’t want to hear the lessons preached by the Professor, therefore began projecting the same pain upon others. For the rest of this student’s life, people were miserable around him and never felt his love.
The second student became blind to Professor Pains lessons. His ignorance and naivety prevented him from seeing the truth the lecturer was showing him. The student agonisingly continued to make the same mistakes, over and over again. Upon his deathbed, he felt people walked over him and never loved him properly.
The third student however, studied the pains of the subject the Professor was preaching. He took responsibilities of his actions that led him to get knocked down, even if it wasn’t his fault. He learnt who he wasn’t, what he doesn’t want, and what was required of him to make sure he never repeats the lesson again. Although the Professor tested him many times, the student grew wiser with every lesson. He lived a stable, loving life with many great accomplishments to his name.
I wrote this story, to show people the pain is our honest friend …if we accept him/her. Learning the lessons implemented by the Professor allows the universe to make us blossom, and also allows our spirit to grow wiser.
I hope you enjoyed this short fable.
