Hi, my name is Hedva Fumilayo Ajayi and this is my story. Sit tight and read believe me its not boring.
Well I can say my life story started when I was 17, my parents lived happily they loved each other, my dad was a very successful lawyer and he had his own firm, my mum was a very talented nurse she was kind and caring, so financially we lacked nothing. I had four elder brothers, Dami 30, was an agriculturists in Nigeria he had his own farm and made a lot of money too but despite that he still lived with us, Opeyemi 28, was a successful medical doctor in UK, Segun 26, was an accountant in L.A ,Shola 24, was an engineer and a dancer in Port Harcourt and me 17, I had just gotten admitted to Babcock. Though I had wanted to school abroad but my family won't let me so I resorted to a private school.
It was on the 23rd of December and the house was full, my siblings were all home. I finished my chores early because my mum promised me a shopping spree and I was so excited I was going to be away from my troublesome brothers for a while, don't get me wrong I love them so much and I know they loved me too but they were too protective and troublesome.
Good morning mum how was your night, I greeted her, hey baby it was good erm baby we need to move our shopping spree to another day cause pastor Joshua is coming with his wife today. Mhen I was devastated 'but mum I need those clothes before next week and we've cancelled before, mum please let me go alone I'll be fine I pleaded with her, no o mummy don't let her go alone o she wants to go and see man and where does she know in Lagos please go and play with your toys inside my elder brother shola barked. Brother I'm 17 o approaching 18 next July I'm a big girl o, as I was about to go inside my dad who has been on the phone called me back, fumi dear (he doesn't call me hedva) let me give you an early Christmas gift and then he handed me a new jean jacket and a silver necklace, I was so happy and then he said fumi is a big girl now let's not make her a prisoner. Honey you'll go for your shopping here is my credit card and tell the driver to take you there, you deserve it dear. Words could not explain how I felt I was so happy so I wore my new jacket and necklace and went shopping.
I was done with my shopping at about 6:30 pm and none of my family members had called to check up on me, weird or maybe they have now realized I'm a big girl. When we got to our street there was a Hugh crowd and the driver was like haba madam dem fight for here and I kept wondering why they we're looking at our car and then my heart stopped. MY HOUSE WAS ON FIRE.
