hi steemers here i am back with the part 2 of the most romantic story of kashmir. so here we go . After there marriage yousuf and habba khatun were living a very happy life , days passed and their love for each other also increased and was touching its heights. in the meantime" the emporer" , father of yousuf was murdered by one of his officers iduring a polo match , he was bribed by mughal emporer Akbar and therefore yousuf assumed the thrown and started ruling the region of kashmir . But the love for habba khatun was so deep in the heart of yousuf that its said that besides being the ruler and despite of so many responsibilities of his kingdom he used to spent most of time with habba khatun , and somehow this made him a weak ruler.Love of Habba Khatun kept Yusuf Shah under her control so deeply and so immensely as if she has casted a spell on him The couple was very contented, and the stories of their love and romance were flourishing in the valley .The couple were out of this world due to happiness, for both of them their world had got completed and it seemed as if they now want nothing from the life as because having each other they had got the whole world and the world's happinesses and there were no limits to their happiness when the sign of their love opened her eyes in the world and they were gifted with a beautiful daughter.
Their happiness did not last long. Akbar came into prominence in Delhi, and he called Yusuf Shah there. In 1579, Yusuf Shah was compelled to go to Delhi. In Delhi, Akbar arrested him via treachery. Earlier the Kashmiris had soundly defeated the Mughals consistently. He was kept in prison in Bihar. Poor Habba Khatun was separated from Yusuf Shah.After hearing about the yousuf's imprisonment all happinesses of habba were shadowed with sorrows as if the world ended for her . In the separation of yousuf habba began to sing the songs of sorrow. The songs of Habba Khatun are full of the sorrow of separation. It is claimed that Habba Khatun introduced the Lol into tho Kashmiri (language) After her came Arnimal who also sang mournful lyrics.
Habba Khatoon spent her last days singing her songs in the Valley, songs which are popular to this day. Even now you can see young Kashmiri singers turn to such popular lyrics as Mye ha kaer chey kit and Che Kamiu Sonei Myani. She has a profound presence in the oral tradition and is hailed as the last independent poet queen of Kashmir.the tomb of habba and her child are situated in kashmir at a place called "chandhaur" while as yousuf is burried in bihar.
