Keindahan Alam Pantai Ujung Blang Membelah Ingatan

Awan mendung, bagai langit hendak berkisah, bahwa hujan akan menyapa penduduk bumi.

Tidak jauh dari pandangan mata, sosok ombak berkejaran silih berganti menggapai pantai. Sekilas, Pantai Ujong Blang Lhokseumawe di kota yang pernah
masyhur dengan sebutan Kota Petro Dolar itu bagai lukisan maestro saja.

Makin di lihat, betapa panaroma ombak berkejaran dan berlomba-lomba menghantam tanggul penahan agar air tidak tumpah ruah ke jalan jaraknya sangat dekat dengan jalan umum yang di lalui oleh masyarakat.

Dari pemandangan indah laut ciptaan Allah SWT itu juga terlihat cerobong-cerobong dan tangki gas PT Arun, dan dari kejauhan juga terlihat para nelayan yang sedang melempar jaring di tengah laut.

Pantai ini banyak dikunjungi masyarakat untuk melepaskan rindu hiburan dan menghilangkan penat bersama keluarga. Sebagian mereka ada juga yang berkeinginan sekedar untuk menikmati semburan matahari pagi, ada pula yang sekedar menghibur diri sambil mendengar kecipak air laut menabrak tanggul ombak.

Menelusuri geografi wilayah Pantai Ujong Blang, disebutkan daerah tersebut terhampar dari muara sungai Cunda (Kuala Cangkoi) yang meliputi empat wilayah desa: Desa Ujong Blang, Ulee Jalan, Hagu Barat Laut, dan Desa Hagu Tengah.

Namun sangat disayangkan pantai masih alami itu tidak di kelola dengan fasilitas yang lumayan, juga banyak situs sejarah di sana yang kurang mendapatkan perhatian pemerintah setempat, seperti Kurok-Kurok alias bungker pertahanan pada masa penjajahan Jepang dulu.

Bentuknya sangat sederhana dan tidak semegah Tembok Besar Cina. Ukurannya kira-kira hanya 2×3 meter. Kurok-Kurok berkontruksi beton itulah tempat pertahanan Pasukan Jepang yang mendarat ke Aceh sekitar tahun 1942 dulu lebih kurang terdapat enam lokasi kurok-Kurok tersebut diseputaran pantai Ujung Blang.

Sungguh sangat disayangkan peninggalan yang bernilai sejarah dan wisata itu luput dari perhatian pemerintah kota Lhokseumawe.

Kota Lhokseumawe merupakan intepretasi dari ‘lhok’ bermakna dalam, teluk, atau palung laut. Sedangkan ‘seumawe’ bermakna” ieu meupeuta” (air yang berputar-putar) atau pusat mata air pada laut sepanjang lepas pantai.

Akankah juga selalu “meupeuta-puta” alias tidak ada perhatian pemerintah terhadap berbagai persoalan dan problema baik dalam masyarakat dan pemerintah di kota itu?
