Nobody Will Vote An Empty Post; My Observation On How Steemians Write Post
I did not plan to post again, but I am very much not happy with the way steemians post. Most steemians wonder why they do not get an upvote after posting because they feel they should make $1000 in a post that carries no value.
For over an hour, I have been on the New page checking out posts I can upvote, comment and probably resteem. To my surprise, I discovered that most steemians from a reputation of 25 to a reputation of 50+ do not write anything fascinating at all, in fact, most of their post are empty without good content or content at all.
WHY POST WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SHARE
Writing 1000 post a day doesn't guarantee you $5, I can tell you that categorically. I took my time to view the new page for over an hour and I could only vote 9 posts. (Maybe I'm the bad fella here) I thought that way also until I went back to the same posts and discovered they did not get an additional vote.
Why would you post at all when you have nothing to share?
You do not have to be a graduate or have a Ph.D. before posting something meaningful, all you need is to be creative. Creativity is from inside you; it is the ability to turn 1+1 to 11 and not 2, creativity is seeing ways where others see nothing.
Steemit is not a dumping ground for rubbish. Steemians most especially newbies need to learn how to write a good post. I am also learning just like so many steemians here and more so there is no perfect writers or authors but some steemians have earned my respect when it comes to writing and I will advise you go through their blogs to learn.
@papa-pepper (wild-man) - He writes more about himself. He also gives advice on how to improve in his ADVICE FROM PAPA series
@surpassinggoogle (Your boy Terry) - He is a very good writer who teaches newbies about how to improve themselves on steemit. You need to read between the lines of his post because he speaks in between the line.
@kus-knee (The Old Dog) - He writes personal inventories. He has several posts that newbies need to read in other to improve their writing skills.
You can also learn from other wonderful steemians like @gavvet, @stellabelle and so many others
Disclaimer: I do not mention these names to place hype on them or to promote them. I am only making references to their names and pages because they are awesome and I've learned a lot from them directly or indirectly.

A lot of the newer users are probably just trying to find their footing (I know I am).
That being said, I do think it is important to write something meaningful lest SteemIt become a junkyard of empty posts.
Making steemit a junkyard of empty post isn't what i or any other steemian want. so i encourage users to please post less and post meaningful things.
Thanks for reading my post
Agreed.
thanks mate and steem on
Enjoyed the post. What you say is very true. I can not count the number of posts I check each day, attempting to find at least something that is interesting. It appears there is more hype trying to get followers or trying to impress to entice. Upped and followed.............billytwohearts
I think we need to drop being selfish. Also steemians need to learn to write good post.
Excellent post and spot on. You don't have to be a prolific writer or contributor here on Steemit, but at least make your content valuable - in any which way you can. Thanks @gbenga!
THAT'S MY POINT. Steemians should not post when they do not have anything valuable to post
I think people will slowly realize that over time, I just made a new post on how to upvote I don't think many people know about voting power or how to support each other.
I they do.
I'll visit your nlog to see your post
Absolutely agree, people sound try and post some worthwhile content or at least try and connect with fellow Steemians.
that's true, but it begins with you and me
Searching for quality content from the noobs is a bit like chasing windmills.
sometime it is, i must say.
Thank you for reading my post. I really appreciate

I absolutely agree @gbenga! I see a ton of posts like the ones you speak of, but in a way, I get offended. These people truly believe that they should earn money for posting "Tweets".
You know what I do? I utilize my freedom to downvote, thus saving part of the reward pool for something with real value.
I think i'm tired of seeing post of two sentences without any meaning. Thanks for reading my post, i really appreciate your time and effort
Great post! The sooner people realize that quality and or originality are more profitable than quantity, the sooner Steemit will reach its potential.
