The Japanese Elder (SHORT STORY)
There was a time when an elderly Japanese man decided to visit China, in a November that was his number sixty-nine to bid farewell for the last time to his beloved Cara.
My Japanese elder spent autumn in Shanghai,
waiting in a park to which Seiko will arrive,
but she never wrote and neither came.
Even so the autumn step in Shanghai
Singing:
Where have you gone?
The Japanese elder asked the swallows of the Chinese sky,
Where have you gone?
The old Japanese man asked the autumn tree that was emptying leaves on his legs,
Seiko, will you never come back?
The Japanese elder asked when in the distance he was a reflection
In the night mirrors of his home in Japan.
Did you not think of me as I thought of you?
The Japanese elder asked the Imperial Shanghai.
At the bank he spent the rest of the afternoon asking questions similar to the many birds that passed and were pledged in the air, listening to the questions of the elderly Japanese. In the garden, I was alone because Seiko did not come and from the garden, he made his stay. I hope the fall will end to go after him, wherever the fall rested last season.
