Extracts From The Diary of a Mad(?) man part 2

After a short time the meds along with her program had helped take the edge off everything. She made a quick phone call and ordered a taxi. She reminded Jack, who always worked Tuesdays, that she needed a call back before she would come down. With the easy part over, she turned off the television and got ready for the phone call. One good thing about living in this duplex was how close Quickie-Cabs were located.

The phone rang, and Heather quickly glanced out the window. After seeing the taxi was outside, she answered then headed out. She got into the back of the taxi, and handed the driver the fee in advance. She had done this trip so many times she knew the amount it would cost. The drive gave her time to start to freak out slightly, but she was out of her next medication she needed to take. Looking out the window, she tried to regain control. She sighed deeply. By the time they arrived she was getting close to full panic, and got out of the taxi the moment the doors unlocked.
Heather ran into the doctor’s office, sat in the corner, so that it was hard to see and breathed into a paper bag she had with her. Once she was calmer she headed up to the check-in and handed over her insurance card and id. She signed in and headed back to her seat in the corner.

Heather finally was called to see the doctor. She quickly headed down the hallway into the private office at the back of the building. Dr. Prizzly’s nurse welcomed her and did the normal checks, weight and blood pressure. Everything was normal for her. After Heather answered the same questions she was always asked, the nurse left to get the doctor. Five minutes passed before he entered the room. Dr. Prizzly had put on a little weight since her last visit, and it looked good on him. One thing Heather really liked about her doctor was despite him being young and attractive, he listened to what she had to say.
