One Day Before Eid Buying the Cow from Mandai

A day before Eid we went to the Mandai (animal market). It was a fun and busy place. There were many animals cows goats and sheep decorate with colorful bells garlands & rope.

We finally bought strong and healthy cow. The kid were very happy and named it “Chandni.” They decorated it and took many Selfies Everyone was excited for the next day.

Eid Morning Going for Prayer

On Eid day we woke up early. After taking a bath and wearing clean clothes we went to the mosque for Eid prayer. There were many people in beautiful cloth. we prayed together and listened to the Imam speech about sacrifice love and sharing.

After prayer we greeted each other with

“Eid Mubarak”

Giving Eidi to Children

After returning home everyone said Eid Mubarak to each other. The elder ones gave Eidi (money) to the children. This is tradition that makes the little ones really happy

Qurbani Sacrificing the Cow

Next we performed the Qurbani. we said “Bismillahi Allahu Akbar” and sacrificed our cow. It is spiritual moment that reminds us of the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

We feel thankful to Allah and remember that real sacrifice is not just giving up meat its about giving from the heart.

Distributing Meat to the Poor

We divided the meat into three equal part:

  • One part for our own use
  • One part for our relatives and neighbors
  • One part for poor and needy people

We packed the meat in clean plastic bags and personaly gave it to those who needed it. This made us feel blesed and happy. Its one of the most important part of Eid ul-Adha.

BBQ Night Family & Students Together

BBQ Preparation Process (Step by Step)

Our BBQ night was one of the most fun parts of Eid!

We decided to use some of the fresh Qurbani meat to make Seekh Kebabs and Tikka Boti. Here how we prepared everything:

WhatsApp Image 2025-06-23 at 5.42.00 AM (1).jpeg

1. Cutting the Meat

We cut the beef into small cubes for tikka and minced meat . We made sure the meat was soft and clean.

2. Making the Marinade

We made a tasty marinade using:

  • Yogurt
  • Ginger garlic paste (
  • Red chili Powder and black peper
  • Lemon juice
  • Cumin powder and garam masala
  • Salt and oil

We mixed the meat with this marinad and kept it for 2 to 3 hours so all the flavors could go deep into the meat.

3. Preparing the BBQ Setup

WhatsApp Image 2025-06-23 at 5.42.00 AM.jpeg

We used charcoal to make the BBQ. First we lit the coals and waited for them to turn red hot. This took about 20 minutes. Then we placed the marinated meat on metal skewers.

The skewers were placed on a stand over the coals. We kept turning them every few minutes so that the meat cooked evenly. The smell of spices and smoke made everyone feel hungry!

Inviting My Students

This year I did something new I invited some of my students to join the BBQ party. It made the celebrations more meaningful. They were very happy and excited to be part of our family gathering

WhatsApp Image 2025-06-23 at 5.42.00 AM (2).jpeg

We sat together on mats talked laughed and share stories while eating the fresh BBQ. Some student help with turning the skewer and fanning the coal It became time of learning bonding and joy for Everyone.

What Eid Means to Me

For me Eid ul-Adha is about much more than just meat. It’s about:

  • Obeying Allah
  • Sharing with the less fortunate
  • Spreading love and joy
  • Being together with family friends and students

This Eid was very special because I got to share it with my loved ones and my students making it both warm and memorable.

Thank you for the verification

Since Pakistan is a country close to Bangladesh, I have an idea about your culture and various celebrations. I have watched many Pakistani drama serials. I enjoyed your Eid celebrations very much. The children had a lot of fun with you. The kebabs were very tempting. Next time you make kebabs, you will definitely invite me😀

That’s so lovely to hear! I’m really glad you enjoyed watching our dramas and got a glimpse of our Eid celebrations. It’s always a special time filled with joy, family, and of course—delicious food! I’d be more than happy to invite you next time we’re making kebabs

@hamzayousafzai Chandni ka naam sunn kar laga Eid pe cow bhi celebrity ban gayi . lekin aik baat samajh nahi aayi sab ko Eidi mili mujhe shayad invisible samajh liya gaya .Lagta hai mere liye Eidi hawa mein uda di gayi thi. Agli dafa Eidi ke liye QR code bhej dungi miss na ho .

Hahaha na mara ya tu es eid ma koye eidi nahe de kese ko.. nur poyesha kana

Hahaha @isha-rehman Chandni toh waqai Eid ki superstar thi, uski entry bhi film style mein hui thi! Aur Eidi ka scene tou serious ho gaya lagta hai, shayad tumhara invisibility cloak on tha Eid ke din

Lekin no worries, agli dafa QR code hi sahi Eidi direct wallet mein transfer hogi, miss hone ka chance hi nahi milega!

Eid-ul-Adha means a lot for Muslim. When I see this challenge the festival come to my mind is Eid-ul-adha. You present this post wonderfully. Indeed it is informative post.
"Eid is not just about what we sacrifice but about how much love we share."- Yes totally agree. Good luck with your participation.

This brought back such warm memories for me! I used to have a kind Muslim neighbour who would always share lots of food and meat with us during Eid-ul-Adha. Even though I’m not Muslim, she made me feel part of the celebration, and I remember looking forward to the season every year. Your post reminded me of that same spirit of generosity and togetherness.

I love how you shared each moment, from buying “Chandni” at the Mandai to the BBQ night with your students. It’s heartwarming to see how the celebration is not just about the sacrifice, but about love, sharing, and including others. I especially admire how you opened your home to your students; that’s the kind of gesture that leaves a lasting impact.

Your post didn’t just inform, it made me feel. Thank you for letting us into your world. Eid Mubarak to you and your family! 🌙✨

Thank you so much for your kind words

Before now, I could not really tell how this holiday works and how it is celebrated. I knew very little about it. Your post is an eye opener letting me know how this holiday is being celebrated. The video shows is all
You made a great post
