What happened to love?

I'm not quite sure how to explain this... But i have the feeling that everything as tourned. Aren't we supposed to love, care, respect one another?
Is it normal now to tell someone you love her/him and disrespect that persone? What can we expect from this world were some people use their "friends" "lovers" "family". Is it normal that we are replassable/ dispendable?
I would like to have several points of view, because honestly i feel a bit lost here.
