Venture out of your comfort eating

in #world7 years ago

I am not sure what everyone's take is on eating different types of foods from all around the world, I personally think it's a great way to get a small but beautiful taste of their lives.

Follow these steps and you will be in the best direction food wise:

Step One: Try everything and anything- Do not be scared to taste something even if there is a small chance you will hate it. Try and see it as tasting something new and different, and hay! you never know, you might have a new fave dish in the end. When you look at the food take in the colours, the texture, the sides associated with the main dish- this should indicate what sort of flavour you will get, for example- spicy, sweet, tangy, fruity, coarse, maybe a mediterranean rhythm to it.

If it doesn't look appealing think of something you have tried before where it may not look nice but sure tastes damn good. for me I like to think of an eaton mess or some types of Casseroles, they don't look pretty but they taste like royalty.

Great First step down. (was that easy? no? yes? I'll let you be the judge.)

Step Two: Try it, savour it, if you don't like it spit it, if you do happen to like it- good on ye!

Lucky enough that I am, I have been able to travel to around some of the greatest parts of the world and try their cuisine.

Might I mention one of my favourite things about going on a holiday.

My advice would be to travel the world- now I know that's an impossible dream to most to travel the world including me; so if you can't do so, look up different foreign recipes you've never had or maybe never heard of until you search, they are always the best to try- completely new, completely different, and something to look forward to when you finish a hard days work!

Step Three: If neither of the above are really much use, and you're a stubborn bean, then maybe try a simple small change to your daily foods.

For example- add in some new herbs or spices, spruce the usual beef stew into an unfamiliar inspired tasty meal!

Simple changes make all the difference in my eyes. Take this as a good call; I love stir fry, it's my favourite thing I have eaten and actually continued to love throughout my life. Now think of this- my usual every day stir fry I have known and loved for two decades with egg noodles but instead I have added udon noodles. Best accidental purchase yet.

Try slightly different things, from the sauces you add to the rices you choose, whatever it is you decide to swap, all these components to a meal make a huge thing. Flavour. The key to happiness is flavour in this world of cooking.

So throughout whatever you are scrapping up for your tea, remember, always taste along the way.

With best intentions to pass on my love for ALL FOOD ANY FOOD EVERY FOOD. FOOD! I will be posting up some all time fave recipes of mine to share for those who care!

Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
