My hours at work are finally changing! This is pretty good news. While the total number of hours I work each week won’t change much, the time I have to arrive at work will.

For the past few months, I’ve been working in the bakery section of my job, which requires me to arrive at 4:00 AM. Now that I’ve been trained for different positions, I’ll be joining the main line with the others, making sandwiches and whatnot for the customers. Because of this, my schedule will vary—sometimes I’ll need to arrive at 5:30 AM, sometimes at 6:00 AM, or perhaps even later.

Although the total hours won’t change, I’ll at least be able to sleep in later than before. On workdays, I try to go to sleep between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM so I can get roughly 6 to 8 hours of rest. However, I often end up falling asleep around 10:00 PM and go to work without feeling fully rested. I tend to do this because I also stream on TikTok from time to time, and those debates can last a while. Plus, many of my viewers are on the West Coast and are three hours behind, so a lot of them are still working when I try to stream earlier.

This new schedule will definitely help me out! However, every now and then, I’ll still need to return to the bakery side if they need me on weekends or on days when the other bakers can’t make it.
