RE: Women the Media and Trump

in #womens8 years ago

This text I found today under some breathtaking pictures from the March in DC and I pretty much ageee with such thoughts : " If it wasn’t for protests of the past we wouldn’t have women’s right to vote, women’s right to go to college, to work outside the home, to have birth control, to get divorced, to be single mothers who can have a job in addition to being a parent, an 8 hour work day, to not have back alley abortions, to run for any office, to marry anyone they would like, to practice any religion you would like, to report rapes, to protect the environment (for example the Dakota Pipeline) and allow women to serve in our military to protect our country. While there is a lot more to do, we’ve come a long way and without anyone marching we would not be where we are today. Thank you to those who took a stand today, yesterday and tomorrow. Your voice was heard and we would not be where we are today without it. The Women’s March was for all women, men and children on all sides of the fence. "
