AI has a better sense of humor about this than some of y'all, and it's just a line of code.
If I thought or a moment any of these memes were making fun of sexual assault, I obviously wouldn't be sharing them.
In the hypothetical of, you know... you turn a corner in the woods around a tree and bump into something, would you rather that something be a random bear or a random man?
Saying bear isn't just unrealistic, it's irrational threat inflation, and that's the punch line. Thinking the average man would be more likely to respond to being bumped into in the woods in a way that posed more of a threat to the person who bumped into them than an average bear?
I'm pretty sure plenty of even more extreme feminists would recognize that as sexist. It's the equivalent of saying "look at the violent crime rates in the black community... if I was in the savannah, I'd rather come across a lion", or "look at what happened in the church... I'd rather have a pit bull watch my children than a Catholic", or "look at that act of terrorism, I'd rather have snakes on this m'f'n plane than an Arab".
I think that men in general think predatory behavior by other men is less prevalent than it actually is. I once thought it was a less common occurrence than it actually is. I can understand a victim of SA having a fear of men in general due to their experience. I ain't, like... upset at the question and it can even be useful in starting a conversation about the fear women often have of men and whatnot, for valid and real reasons related in large part to awful behavior of some males.
But these memes right here? They're fire and they're absolutely not meant to make light of sexual assault.
