Migrate My Workspace from SSDNodes to OVHsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #witness20 days ago

In past five years, I used SSDNodes' VPS as my remote workspace.

The detail of SSDNodes' VPS was 8 vCPUs, 32GB RAM, 480GB Disk, $252.00 Triennially.

The VPS network started not stable from this year. I submitted ticket. After that, It worked well for several weeks.

Recentlly the network was lack of healthy again. This has indeed affected my work progress.

Coincidentally, I have an OVH dedicated server that is used to run Steem data backup tasks.

The dedicated server has a E3-1245v2, 32GB RAM and 3x2TB Disk. It costs $193 each year.

Besides the backup tasks, this machine has relatively abundant idle resources, so I migrated the workspace of SSDNodes here.

Since all my work content is on GitHub, the migration process was very convenient.

I just needed to pull the relevant work repositories.

Before this, I just knew there were a lot of repositories about Steem I needed to maintain, but I had never counted how many.

This time I counted, and there are around 50 repositories that I need to maintain.

That's really amazing.
