The Reports from the Witnesses 2017-12-26

in #witness-category7 years ago

The Reports from the Witnesses aims to provide the community with a summary of what all the witnesses have been up to. Every week, I collect all of the reports from the individual witnesses and assemble them into a single aggregated report. New witness announcements and witness retirement announcements are included in the report as well.

Witnesses can continue posting their posts to the witness-category and/or witness-update tags, and I will assemble everything I find there. If I miss any reports, just let me know and I will correct it. If you want to direct message me a report via chat, that is fine too.

Historic Reports from the Witnesses can be found here:

So without further ado, I bring you the fifty third edition of 'Reports from the Witnesses'!

Some Notes:

  • Many witnesses do not report every week, and prefer to only report when they have updates.
  • I recommend that you include communication as one of your criteria for evaluating witnesses, but keep in mind - it is not the only criteria. There are some witnesses that prefer to work "behind the scenes", and do not do much as far as reports.
  • For witnesses that are not currently posting any reports, I would encourage you to provide the community with at least some insight into what you are currently working on :)

Remember to vote for witnesses!

Many thanks for this very helpful post @timcliff.

I hope to read each one of the witness posts you’ve listed.

There are some witnesses that prefer to work "behind the scenes",

For witnesses that are not currently posting any reports, I would encourage you to provide the community with at least some insight into what you are currently working on :)

I’m really glad that you made note of these two essentials regarding the participation of witnesses.

One last thing, I’d like to stress to all Steemians the importance of voting for your 30 witnesses.

If you have a fellow Steemian whose work you value; and, they’re willing to sign on as a proxy, take a few seconds and sign them up to select your witnesses.

If you're new to the community, and would like to take a look at his work, I have @lexiconical as my proxy for Witness selection. Do your research; and, most importantly VOTE for the benefit of the community!

Thanks again @timcliff for this timely post!

Peace.

Being a responsible curator of steem is difficult.

Being a responsible curator of witnesses is even harder.

You do that...

We appreciate (ok, at least I do)... the hours you spend on your research and keeping on top of things... It's not fast or easy work. You make it look easy, and I know it is not.

STEEM's assets aren't just steemit.com it is also @timcliff

That's a big deal....

Thanks @intelliguy! :)

Thanks @timcliff for these updates. As part of @blockbrothers I agree that it’s indeed important to post witness updates so the voters know what you’re up to.

Respected sir @timcliff,
i am little bit confused about the payout rewards. can you tell me the formula using for it.
plz reply.
your statistics and overview about witness report updates are appreciated efforts.

There is info on this in the FAQ. If you have any questions after reading that, let me know and I will help :)

Thanks sir.

Thanks for curating this. As a new user, it can often be hard to know where to look, but i'll spend the evening reading through this. I believe in the future of steemit, and this is essential.
Have a great day man :)

Congrats and welcome to witness-category @fakire1sadaka!
Your great work is always appreciable dear @timcliff. Your comprehensive updates save me lot of time and I get updated. Keep it up your great work & Stay Blessed!

Hello @timcliff I was wondering if any independent people investigate the behavior of witnesses and publish their findings?

Some do, yes. You can find such reports when they are published by browsing the #witness-category tag.

Doh lol Thanks for that : )

Thanks for the update tim :) great work! I think that if each witness will summarize his main point for the week and then you will assemble this points in this post it would be awesome because reading so many posts is time consuming. think of it like a scientific articles - you have a very informative title - if you like it your read the abstract and if you really are very interested - you read the whole thing :)

It is up to the individual witnesses as far as what they publish. I do not plan on putting myself in a position of judging and filtering what is important vs. not from each report.

ok - so I will direct it to any witness reading it :) please consider my proposal and try to make a summary to your important posts :)

You help us with these information,,,,,,

I like all of your posts a lot. Which helps us a lot.
Thanks so much for sharing beautiful current news posts friend @timcliff

I just voted for my first witness and it was you @timcliff well deserved!
