Symbiont{s} | Localization of the Official Steemit Wallet

Greetings,

While working on the delivery of the second DIP proposal, we made a realization that the official wallet needs additional localization efforts. The current languages that are currently supported by the wallet are:

Crowdin stands out as an excellent platform for on-demand localization and provides free localization services for FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) projects. In the past, the Steem community used the platform extensively, achieving significant success under the Utopian project's banner, which aimed to incentivize open-source contributions. Unfortunately, the Utopian project is no longer operational.

Furthermore, it is encouraged to actively participate in the localization process. Everyone interested should be able to create a Crowdin account and take part in the localization as a translator. While there is no monetary compensation for participating in the translation, users are encouraged to find fulfillment in being part of the journey by contributing for the greater good and embracing the principles of FOSS philosophy. Nevertheless, the Symbionts team is committed to exploring ways to incentivize users who are willing to play a role in the localization of the wallet.

We would also like to invite active communities on Steem who are willing to see their language added to directly reach us on Discord or leave a comment. We will make sure to study the requests and work on adding them when possible.
