Getting ready for the new start of Devcoin+STEEM integration - DevSTEEM

It's been a month since our last report: The present and future of Devcoin+STEEM integration. The good news is that we are busy doing plans for a good new start. This is what we have in mind so far:

Cross-post from Devtome

The http://devtome.com/ website is an ancestor of Steemit, implemented with a mix of doku wiki, smart python scripts and hot sauce! It managed to have a good amount of creative people getting decent rewards for their creations. We'll capitalize from this user base to start cross-posting from Devtome to Steemit under the @devcoin account. Our leap of faith is to generate more visibility for our project along some earnings to buy more STEEM POWER.

The challenge here is to reward authors automagically. Hopefully the STEEM blockchain has nice features for the STEEM/SBD reward already, but the Devcoin reward still requires an smart contract approach. In the mean time we'll have to relay on some magic script.

Exchanging Devcoin for STEEM/SBD and back

The Devcoin project is aggressively working this year on getting the DVC/BTC pair back to exchanges. There is good progress but the market is still cold. The other wing of this effort is DevSTEEM and we can help exchanges with a simple trading exercise! Then we get back to the first point: To create content, which then will generate STEEM/SBD rewards that we can use to buy DVC from exchanges. This should add some heat and the market will do the rest.
