RE: 🚀 Official Launch: The Steemit Lottery
Hi,
it's a nice idea. Thanks for the invitation :-)
I wasn't able to attend yesterday, but today I bought three tickets. I would therefore like to share my experiences with you:
- I would have intuitively selected the tickets the other way round using the "up" and "down" buttons. When I press "down", the number should be counted down.
- A random selection would be good.
- The input field for the user name is not clear. The hint
@username
is given. However, according to your instructions, you should enter it without the@
. By the way, it is not the Steemit username, but the Steem username, as Steemit itself does not have any accounts. We can only use Steemit with our Steem account. - Some of the fonts in my display are too pale:
I can't say more yet, as my round has not yet been completed :-)
In general, I would say that you have created a Steem game and not a game on the Steemit platform. You even created your own website.
Hi Moecki, Finally! Thanks a lot for sharing all these highly valuable input and also taking part. Your insights are genuinely helpful. Let me walk you through my thought process on the areas you mentioned..
"up" and "down" buttons - Great point! During the design phase, I took inspiration from vertical number rollers used in physical ticket machines. That's how it was done.
Random selection: I intentionally designed the number picker to encourage users to choose their lucky numbers for that day, rather than having the system generate them. But I get it “Random Pick” button would be a helpful option. I will give it a try in coming days.
user name: Ah yes! that’s been a bit tricky! 😅 Even I occasionally hesitate whether to include the @. Technically, the system is set to accept both formats, so it will work whether or not you type @username.
The "Top buy" section should not have such pale design. I checked the UI on several devices, but didn’t notice contrast issues still, screen settings can vary, and I will further look into it.
Steem game - Yes, for the Steemit users. Also having our own website was crucial for the app functionality.
Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, it helps me make the experience better for everyone. Wishing you all the best in this round! 🤩
