Quick peek into Canada, skating on the roads!
Hello Steemit! I have been busy with holidays and not feeling particularly creative, so I am just going to make a quick post about an article from my hometown.
I will get back into posting awesome content in the next few days, as things wind down and I get back to the homestead.
It is pretty damn chilly here in the Okanagan, though not hardly as bad as the rest of Canada fares! It is only -10 c here today, in the city center too. I bet it is even more cold up at the homestead, I can't wait to get home >.< Haha, at least it usually doesn't get down to -28 like other places in the country, though up on the mountain it can get pretty close. Don't stay outside for long!
Anywho, not far from where I am now, somebody made a video of actually skating on the streets! The main roads or mostly ice-free but the sidewalks and side roads are literally like skating rinks. I have been sliding down roads all week, its pretty fun to glide around, but you gotta be careful for sure!

I am excited to get back into relaxing and writing soon, continuing my ancient history research and painting practice! I will be posting more soon, including a cookie recipe!

You do so much things !! It's amazing. No I never skated like this in the streets for sure.
Here in France its cold but not enough to have snow (depends where actually, but in south : no snow or ice at all). You have to pay to do that !
haha hardly cold then eh? sounds nice. The summers here in the okanagan are boiling hot, and it is so beautiful, so it is an alright trade off. plus its fun to sled and skate for free! we actually have a public skating rink downtown anybody can use for free, with a fire and rentals and stuff.
