Need a fresh install of Windows? Not a problem! If you have LInux and want to burn Windows 10 please review my other articles.
Beware! This will wipe everything off your current USB and or Disk. Backup everything if needed.
Windows Solution:
First we need to download Rufus this is how we will burn our ISO to the USB. You can download Rufus here: https://rufus.ie
Once downloaded now we will need the Windows ISO. You can download the Windows 10 tool here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 or if you would rather directly download the ISO through your browser. Go to your browser’s extension store. Search User-Agent, Download Something reputable, then change your User-agent to Linux and refresh the Microsoft download page.
Next Open Rufus and plug-in your USB. Select Win10 ISO in downloads or where ever you saved the ISO. (If rufus does not recognize the USB format the USB) then hit start.
Once complete power down the machine you want to burn the ISO to. Plug in the USB while turned off. Now power up the machine. We will need to enter your BIOS. Depending on the Motherboard manufacture most use F10. You want to press F10 as the computer starts to turn on.
Go to boot then make USB booting default by either F5 OR F4 or boot from that USB. Restart or select that USB. You should see a Windows Logo and installation setup.
Problems and Solutions:
If when trying to boot the USB and you see the windows logo for a second or nothing happens here are some solutions. Check your BIOS is set to UFEI. If so, the issue could be the format. Go back to Rufus Under Partition Scheme select MBR and re-burn to the USB. Then when booting select the RMAP option or select default as USB booting. This option will cause an issue when selecting the drive. To fix this Press delete on selected Partition/Drive.
