The Fate of The Wicked
There was an old witch in the little village of Omuran, she did evil to anyone who crossed her path or who offended her.
She had powers and she used it to make people in the village feel terrible.
Every individual in Omuran village feared her and never crossed her path, you dare not cross her path and not greet her, sometimes she will go the market and forcefully collect things from traders without paying.
This was the act she practiced continually and there was nothing that could be done about the situation.
Evelyn was a pretty girl in the village, on her way from the stream to fetch water she meet the old woman and she greeted her.
But, the old woman called her back and said she did not greet her properly, she looked at her and her pot of water fell from her hand and got broken, she ran home out of fear and she told her mum all that happened on her way from the stream.
Her mother was bothered about the influence this old witch might have on the growing kids in the community, so she decided to report the case to the king.
The king had heard so much about the old witch but he was scared of carrying out any action to prevent her from causing more harm in the community.
He thought about everything she was doing in the community and he reasoned that he will be a bad king if he could not do anything about it, so he decided to have a peaceful meeting with her.
The next day, he sent a guard to succumb her to the palace and she sent the guard back to tell the king that she cannot leave her house so if the king had something important to tell her, he should come to her house by himself.
When the king received the message, he smiled and said okay going to her house will not be a big deal, so he went and pleaded with her to reduce the way she humiliated people in the community, she laughed and said she will think about it.
The king was really disturbed because he knew that if he should barn her from the village, she could cause destruction to the community so he was disturbed.
Her only son was traveling from the city to see her mother and he had an accident immediately he got to the village, he died at the spot. That was her only hope and reason for existence. She cried day and night and she had no one to sympathies with her, she constantly remained in doors.
The people of Omuran village were happy that at least the problem she gave to the community had greatly reduced as she was always indoors.Little did they know that she already committed suicide, they only got to know when the house started smelling, they burnt the house totally and rejoiced as peace was once again restored in the city of Omuran.
