WhiteIsWhite Photography Challenge - Friday: Architecture - El Presidio Real de Santa Bárbara
An old Spanish chapel at El Presidio Real de Santa Bárbara, in Santa Barbara, California. The Presidio is a former Spanish fort built by Spain in 1782, to defend the Second Military District in California. Across the street from this chapel is El Cuartel, the second oldest building still in existence in California.

OK thank you very much sir.
That is certainly a beautiful piece of white architecture. A few people seem to forget that Cali was once part of Mexico. I love the Spanish influenced buildings in the southern states.
Right. I think the only older "church" than this chapel, in California, is the mission at San Juan Capistrano. Still, Europe has much older buildings but, hey, at least we got something :-)
