WhatsApp Rolls out Person-to-Person Payments in India.
Whatsapp has launched person-to-person payments which are currently in Beta version.
This feature allows users to send money to other users using UPI (Unified Payment Interface).
Whatsapp has been working on this feature for a while now and they want to take advantage of UPI which supports all the major banks in India
Beta testers of iOS and Android are seeing this feature go live.
Not sure when the global users will witness this feature.
Some beta users have posted various screenshots which shows the UPI interface.

Whatsapp had got the approval from Indian Government for implementing its UPI into its platform in July 2017.
When the company starts Beta testing, its very close on officially rolling out this new feature to the global users.
After WhatsApp successfully rolls out with this feature, it will compete against the light of Tez which is Google’s Payment app and also Paytm which has seen popularity after the demonetisation from Modi Government.
I Think that WhatsApp will make a huge impact on the P2P online payments because of its large user base in India.
This Rollout will be the most convenient feature for its users because just like a normal chat, users can send payments to there friends or family with just a click of a button.
