Hi jamie-smith they are amazing animals and it's difficult to understand why humans would want to harm them. I think they realize than swimming around South Africa is safer as they apparently are increasing in number every year.
Fabulous photos!! I love whales!!! I am also a nature photographer in Costa Rica and yet to see my first up close enough to capture some shots! Any day now I hope!

I was on a tourist whale watching boat at the time. Sometimes the whales would pop up right next to the boat. Exciting but nerve wrecking at the same time as they can capsize a small boat.
