RE: Saarto Go Club meeting in the harbour

Very nice summer weather there!
So, you have decided to take the long trip to Bangkok!
Hope to see you somewhere in Bangkok.
I am afraid that the weekend I will have to travel outside Bangkok. But I hope to catch up with you during the weekdays!

BTW, the cost of the Fest is very high and expensive by our standard; the hotel is not what Thai people would normally choose as the conference venue, due to logistics and location! We are very surprised by the choice! But then they must have their reasons!

Any way, you’ll have a very nice holiday in Thailand!

Cheers.

Thanks!

We would be very delighted to meet you there! Maybe you would like to show us around?

I still have very little information on the actual Steem Fest though. I'm wondering that if I am to book a hotel, should it be at the venue, or if there are cheaper options I could consider.

We were also thinking, that since the fest is 4 days long, I should probably make our stay for 10 days instead of one week, so that we'd be able to see more of Thailand.

Leo is really interested in the food culture there, since he loves food and cooking. Could you could give us any tips on some good restaurants in Bangkok?

I have got some links for your hotel choice.

Asia Hotel is located in a very nice location, 5 minutes walk to BTS station, a taxi ride will take less than 15 mins to get to the Fest venue.

Liveitup is a nice hostel in a nice location! There’s a choice of room with private bathroom too! Quite good value!

Well! I hope these links give you some idea about hotels and locations!

Do you use Line in your country?
Cheers.

Thank you for the information, it may help make our planning a bit easier.

What's "Line"?

Oh... I wonder if it works on my Jolla phone. I tried Whatsapp yesterday, but it didn't seem to be able to find my contacts. Even if I get it working I fear it might have some issues. But I'll try.

Okay! I’ll ask someone if Line app will work for Jolla phone!

It should work for iOS and Android phones.

Yep, I can run Android apps, but not certain if they work as advertised. The Google Play store doesn't want to install apps for me so I will have to try finding it from unofficial sources.
