Wednesday walk challenge: Tuesday trip to the University's Library
Hello and good morning, my dear steemians! This is my entry to the weekly Wednesday Walk Challenge, hosted by @tattoodjay. If you like to enter to this interesting challenge, please go to the host's post and read the rules.
..-..-..
Yesterday I did my daily trip to Autonomous University of Yucatan's headquarters, located in the Historical Downtown, just at 4, 5 blocks aproximately to my home, on 60th street with 57th street. I the 57th street there are some places, the most restaurants and shops. Here is a look to the general panorama:
In the corner of 66th street there's a comic book store named Totem, where you can find some of the most known comic books like Batman and Avengers.
Before reaching to the corner of 62th, there's an abandoned house. I remember that some years ago my grandmother told me that it was one of the most known and beautiful hotels in the city; she worked there in her youth before marrying my grandfather.
And there it is, my destiny:
This building was built more than three centuries; it was first the headquarters of one of the first Latin American universities (I don't remember its name; my apologies). And now, years laters, it is the heart of the administrative and cultural activities of Yucatan's leading academic institution. Maybe the next Wednesday I'll give you a little tour on its insides, so stay tuned.
Greetings!
Such cool buildings the Totem Shop looks quite interesting
