Cincinnati Weather: Rain To Start The Week, Then Heat Index Values Around 100 Possible
More rain is on deck Monday to begin the week, with a flood watch also in place around Greater Cincinnati until noon.
According to a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service, flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible, and a flood watch is in effect until noon Monday.
Portions of Southeast Indiana, Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio are under the flood watch. Excessive runoff may result in the flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
If you live in a flood watch area, the weather service urges you to keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for immediate action, should heavy rains and flooding occur and a flash flood warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.
After the rain Monday, there's a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms Wednesday night, but otherwise expect a mostly clear week. On Wednesday, heat index values around 100 degrees will be possible, with the potential for severe weather Wednesday afternoon and evening and damaging wind and hail possible.
