What do NHL legend Wayne Gretzky and former MLB great Lenny Dykstra have in common? Well, the two at one point owned a 6.5-acre mansion in the Thousands Oaks neighborhood of Southern California.

After selling the mansion to Dykstra for a cool $18.5 million back in 2007, the Great One has reacquired the property.

Per the Los Angeles Times.

"The 6.5-acre property has had quite the journey since Gretzky sold it to ex-New York Mets star Lenny Dykstra in 2007 for $18.5 million. Dykstra, riddled with financial struggles, unsuccessfully tried to sell the home before declaring bankruptcy, causing him to lose the property to foreclosure," the Times reported.
After being sold to Index Investors for $760,000 at an auction in 2010, the property changed hands to Gretzky last year for $13.5 million, recent transactions note.

The place itself is something to behold.

The 8,711-square-foot mansion includes six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, two guest houses, a pool, hot tub, movie room and tennis court.

Considered the greatest hockey player of all-time, Gretzky played in the NHL from 1978-89 and holds pretty much every scoring mark in league history. He's said to be worth a cool $200 million.

For his part, Dykstra fell on difficult times following a MLB career that lasted from 1985-1996. He recently spent six months in jail for attempting to hide assets pertaining to a bankruptcy filing.
