Hybrid smartwatches — Are they worth it?
Hybrid smartwatches don’t have as many functions, but they look way better than most smartwatches. One of the best smartwatches is the Fossil Q hybrid.
Made by a reputable company known for its good-looking watches, Fossil has gone into the smartwatch industry with an android one and a hybrid one. Some of the benefits of hybrid smartwatches are the discreet notifications, the discreet controlling and the discreet activity monitoring. With discreet notifications, one can set any contact or app to a number from 1 to 12 on the dial, when a notification comes in, you will get a buzz and the hands will point. Best of all, people will just think you are checking your watch as there is no audible sound.
There are also three buttons, each is able to control your music, use a stopwatch, show past notifications, second timezone and my favorite, commute time. Lastly, it has a built-in step and sleep counter with a second dial, that shows your progress to your goal. This also syncs with the health app.
Another great feature that sets it apart from regular smartwatches is its battery life. It lasts for 6 months! That is 180 times longer than an apple watch. Even with all these great features, a hybrid smartwatch isn't for everyone, mostly for people who love gadgets, but also like stylish watches. I can't imagine the traditional watch people liking them, and in terms of features, an apple or android wear watch will beat it any day.
