The amount the US military spends on war could literally cure poverty in about 4 years and that's not even mentioning the 19 trillion un-accounted for and more in black budget spending done in secret. This is the human family's biggest embarrassment since the end of 2nd WW to date and it's about time we fixed this. Only a tiny mafia of 5 or 6 companies are always getting billions from the peoples pockets - it's disgraceful when children suffer while money like this is spent on military junk. Thanks for sharing

It always makes me wonder who won WWII, it wasn't freedom. It was the military industrial complex, central banks, and the government families that profited. When will people learn: "War is a racket!"

Not only could it cure poverty, but we often ignore how simply extracting these billions from the private sector via taxation is actually a cause of poverty.

yes, cos you can totally compare the starving in the US to the starving in Africa and Asia........

Who is comparing the two?

You are. You used the term 'poverty' as a blanket term.

That's a stretch. Maybe you could read into my use of the word extracting, too. lol

That's a great point.
I'm thinking it's a little bit more esoteric than that - dunno if you've ever heard of "The Empire of the City"?
Besides IMHO there are already space aliens here from various galactic confederacies guarding members of their genetic families' and their weaponry is millions of years more advanced than the DoD's and it's basically a black hole for money for elite criminals.

Sadly a shadow government controls the US government and dictates when it will for example go into war which means it has to prepare for war by putting a budget for it to favor private contractors.

How much did they earmark for cancer and heart disease scientific research?

It's comical how they just continue shelling out money while saying screw it to the economic impacts.

Freedom is not free.
