Slide with me at Hølaløkka, Oslo
Sundays are often lazy days. Sometimes we successfully manage to plan something for the day and stick with the plan ... but we all enjoy sleeping a bit longer than usual, my wife often spends several hours in the morning making and eating breakfast, chatting with her mother on skype etc ... and I'm also pretty slow. This Sunday we hadn't planned anything, but I needed to get out and enjoy some sunshine. Eventually I managed to get the kids with me to do some sliding. This area is called Hølaløkka, the place was renovated in 2004 with the current lake, some benches, paths, waterfall etc. We didn't spend long time, but at least we managed to get out before sunset.
I tried to make a small animation, an 11MB gif, I believe at least steemit.com won't display it as it's too big:
When we came to the hill, there was one a bit elder child there already. He had some DIY-equipment, a plastic bag that he filled with snow to make a sleigh. His first slide was hillarious, he had taken off his jacket and he had some headset on the head ... so he lost the headset and got completely white, snow sticking to all his clothing (he was wearing a regular trouser, nothing water/snow-proof). He was quite talkative ... we're clearly living in a quite multi-ethnical neighbourhood, his first question was "where are you from", what he really meant was "from what country did you migrate".
(If the animation above doesn't show up, try to click here
I should probably get back here another time for more photos ... this photo is not much representative for the place Hølaløkka. It also features a water fall (far left of this photo), and it has some historic significance due to skiing competitions and industry using the power from the water fall (some old industrial buildings still remain).

The animation shows up perfectly but how did you do it? Is there an app for that?
I used ImageMagick - found a tutorial at http://www.imagemagick.org/Usage/anim_basics/ ... I don't have access to my laptop at the moment, but I believe the command I ran was something like
