Selfishness :- what you need to know
The greatest sin or crime in the world is the sin of dying full. Also, the most disheartening shortcoming anybody can commit is that of selfishness.
Praise be to God for the privilege and grace He has accorded you to sign in for that conference, training, summit, seminar and symposium.
Blessed be unto God for the impartation and transformation you've received in the course of all the trainings, programs and books you've purchased.
Truly, to be a better version of oneself, the only way to it is to invest bountifully into one's personal development.
Hear me, investment into personal development can only be productive and profitable if the intention is to use it to bless and impact others.
Any investment that's not saddled with the responsibility of making the world a better place to live in is a complete waste of time, money, energy and resources.
Therefore, one vital question you must take time to ask yourself anytime you are under any program/training is, would I live to touch and add value to lives with what I have learnt and internalized?
Selfishness is not really all about self interest or stinginess, it is about dying with the resources the Almighty God has deposited in you to bless others.
If that phenomenal man/woman has failed to unleash or unearth his/her invaluable resources just like you, what would you have quoted or shared?
If that man/woman you referred to as a thought leader has failed to put that wonderful pieces and books together, what would you have read?
Listen, you've been fed enough, it is high time people in your locality and environment drink from your wealth of information and resources.
Stop being selfish with what the Almighty God has given to you, rise up and make your moment count for God and for humanity.
Friend, truth is bitter but cannot be covered. See, you are a disappointment if all you can think is only about yourself and maybe your family.
I don't care if you are born again or not, your mandate on earth is to deploy your God given gifts and talents for the benefits of humanity.
In my book, Pathway to Greatness, I made a clear cut distinction between a potential giver and a potential receiver.
In my analysis, I described a potential giver as an individual who continuously make himself available to be a source and a channel of blessings to others.
In the same manner, a potential receiver is only an individual who is in the business of storing what is meant to be given to others without the mindset of releasing it.
In this regard, selfishness is synonymous to a potential receiver, their job is to watch others plant while they go on to harvest what is sowed.
If you fall in this category, I urge and admonish you to please repent today, tomorrow is an uncertainty. No selfish person will reign with the Almighty God on the last day.
Note: Selfishness is a great sin before God, He is saying, there are people waiting for you to be liberated, reformed and transformed, but selfishness has shut your eyes to see them.
Shun selfishness, develop a heart that is geared towards blessing souls and embrace selflessness so that your eyes can be opened to the revelation the Almighty God is about to show you, thus allow you live a life of impact that's worthy of honor and glory before God.
