August Visitor
I wish you all a happy new month, as I welcome you to the auspicious month of August.
Now to the topic, I know a handful of you must have come across the catch-phrase 'August Visitor'. What do you think it means, or you just use it?
Amidst its several meanings, two are conventional.
It is the month of birth of the famous Roman Emperor: Augustus Ceasar, thus the regal nature of Ceasar made people extend warm hospitality to any Guest they received during the month of August.
Most times, any visitor that visits without a prior notice is also tagged an August Visitor, because despite not planning ahead of their coming, they must be treated with utmost courtesy and warmth, as you would every other visitor.
That's how the catch-phrase came to be---and it's not restricted to Visitors you receive during the month of August alone.
Otherwise, the visitors we receive during other months would be qualified as such: January Visitor, June Visitor, and so on.
Lol.
