Vitalik Buterin Uses Railgun Again for Private Transaction — RAIL Token Jumps 15%

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has transferred approximately $2.6 million worth of crypto using the privacy-focused protocol Railgun. The move signals his ongoing support for blockchain privacy and sparked a notable rise in the protocol’s native token, RAIL, which surged 15% in the past 24 hours.

Railgun enables users to make private transactions on decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms while maintaining full control over their funds. Unlike Tornado Cash, it includes compliance features to prevent illegal activity and uses zero-knowledge cryptography for on-chain anonymity.

This isn’t the first time Buterin has used Railgun — he made a similar $500,000 transaction in March. Though he hasn’t commented directly, his repeated use of the tool reflects his belief that privacy should be a default feature in Ethereum, not an optional one.

Railgun continues to gain attention as a next-generation privacy solution, allowing activists, journalists, and large investors to transact discreetly in the DeFi space.
