A man is walking in the dark of the night,

A man is walking in the dark of the night,
with a lamp in his hand.

After walking for a long time, when he reaches his destination,
he says to his lamp,

"Oh lamp, I am eternally grateful to you. If you were not there today, I would not have been able to cross this dark road."

The lamp replies to his words,

"Oh man, the only reason I am still burning dimly is because of you. If I were to fall from your hands, my existence would be extinguished.
Because you kept me alive, I have been able to come this far as your companion on your path. For that, I thank you countless times."

In the deep darkness of this endless world,
those who do not have that lamp in their hands
stumble repeatedly and fall.

And even if they get a lamp,
they also keep stumbling and falling in this deep darkness of the world without understanding the value of that lamp.

The one who has a lamp, understands the value of the lamp,
can easily reach his destination. Because the lamp
helps only those who hold its hand and move forward.

Take refuge in the lamp, that is, knowledge. Hold its hand.
That is the only refuge and the prayer of liberation.
All the rest is a web of illusion spread by ignorance.
