The startup for the prevention of pregnancy was accused of 37 conceptions

The application of Natural Cycles assured women that at the moment they can not become pregnant, which is the reason for dozens of cases of unwanted pregnancies.

Representatives of the Stockholm hospital S“odersjukhuset accused the creators of the application Natural Cycles in providing false information, which entailed unwanted pregnancies," Engadget writes.

Currently, there are 37 cases of this, when the application assured women that they can not conceive, and yet, conception has occurred.

The application determined the temperature of the body with the help of a smart thermometer, from which it was concluded that it was possible to become pregnant. As it turned out, many women relied too much on the results that the application gave out.

The developers themselves claimed that the product developed by them is more reliable than the contraceptive tablets. However, according to them, no one means, including their application, can give an absolute guarantee.

It is also known that this startup is the first application that was certified by the German Ministry of Health as a contraceptive.
