While I agree with the overarching analysis, I must pick at the presumption that certain matters are withing the sphere of governmental authority even if I put on my minarchist dunce cap.

Also, the writer (and perhaps narrator) demonstrates his own cognitive bias in citing dubious claims and making appeals to authority.
