Video of the Day - Pinnacles National Park Time Lapse in 4K from Blue Mantle Media

Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me. Check out this time lapse video from Blue Mantle Media. Apparently they have had this footage for years but just now got around to posting it. The footage was taken in Pinnacles National Park in California. It is actually very relaxing to just sit and watch the four plus minute video as the scenery and all the colors change while showcasing everything the park has to offer. Don't look away or you might miss the worm in hyperspeed.

Pinnacles National Park was formed about 23 million years ago through volcanic eruptions and lava flows. It has then been shaped over time by many factors including the San Andreas Fault which causes the park to drift apart a small amount (about 3-6 centimeters) every year.

The park serves as the home to many species including the endangered California Condor whose population has had a major rebound since the 1980's when it is believed there were just 22 of the majestic birds remaining. Thanks to conservation and captive breeding and releasing into the wild their numbers are up to about 400 with about half of that being in the wild.
