The series tells about a team of doctors who should correctly diagnose a patient and save him. The team is headed by Dr. Gregory House, who walks with a cane after his muscle infarction in the right leg was diagnosed too late. As a doctor, House is simply a genius, but he does not differ in penetration in communicating with patients and avoids them with pleasure, if possible. He himself spends all his time fighting his own pain, and the cane in his hand only emphasizes his tough, poisonous manner of communication. Sometimes his behavior can be called almost inhuman, and at the same time he is a fine doctor with an atypical mind and impeccable instinct that earned him deep respect. Being an infectionist, he is also a wonderful diagnostician who likes to solve medical puzzles in order to save someone's life. If everything was according to his will, House would treat the sick without leaving his office.

Review of the series from me:
Dr. Gregory House is an extremely controversial figure. An ingenious doctor is a diagnostician whose vocation is to save human lives in the most hopeless cases, in fact all these people dislike or make a talented appearance, but otherwise are extremely unfriendly and unsociable people with over-the-top charisma and the strongest charm. Once House had unsuccessfully operated on his leg, and since then he is constantly limping and experiencing pain, which he has to suppress with vicodin. He works at the Princeton Clinical Hospital, scoffs at subordinate interns, constantly quarrels with the pretty head doctor, but at the same time finds time to open his eyes to the patients that they constantly lie to others and to themselves and, strangely enough, demonstrate strong morale and help to love life.

The series does three things. The first is that non-standard pitch. We are looking not just another drama or comedy about medicine, we are watching detective. Secondly, humor. Very funny and versatile, whether it concerns the friction with colleagues and subordinates, gags over patients or simply successful references to the classics of cinema. But most importantly, what the series does is a brilliantly played Hugh Laurie the role of genius Dr. House. The amazing British comedian, for a long time in oblivion, suddenly became the most iconic character of 00x and the author of the famous phrase "Everybody lies".

Perhaps the only drawback of the series is its tightness for scriptwriters. If you watch the first seasons of the series with great pleasure, you wait for the outcome with a sinking heart .. In the last seasons, with a sinking heart, you wait for this series to end and with hope, including the next series, you expect that it will be much more interesting than the previous one.

Starting to look - you just can not help falling in love with the main character, even in places in life you start to imitate him, but only trouble - House is a lone genius, and can allow everything in his work and life that he likes, that's what the series is designed for, you're in real life, all exactly do not cross your line, although so sometimes you want to be a bastard like House, when you do not care about anything!
10 out of 10 from me.

Interesting Facts:
The building used for outdoor filming of the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, in fact, is the Princeton University's Frist Campus Center. The building received its name in honor of the head of the majority in the US Senate Bill Frist.

Abbreviation M.D. in the title of the series can be translated not only as "doctor of medicine" (Latin Medicinæ Doctor), but also as "mentally deficient" (mentally deficient). It is noteworthy that in Italy, the abbreviation in the title of the television series was deciphered as a "therapeutic division" (medical division).

Based on the series in 2010, Legacy Interactive released a computer game in which the player can guide the process of differential diagnosis.

The creator of the series, David Shore, said in an interview that the character of Dr. House was partially inspired by Sherlock Holmes. Among the features that unite both characters, there are such things as the ability to come to a quick conclusion after the shortest client / patient examination, the use of both drugs (cocaine and morphine in Holmes, Vicodin from House), and the fact that both characters have only one a real friend (Watson and Wilson respectively), who calls the rational hero to human principles.

Some quotes:
You talk to God, you're religious. God talks to you, you're psychotic.

- Everybody lies.
- And you?
- But not me.

There is not a thin line between love and hate. There is, in fact, a Great Wall of China, with armed sentries posted every 20 feet between love and hate.

I know the pain. At first it seems to you that you can endure it, but in reality it turns out that you can not. And when this happens, you either find a reason to live on, or ... So when you stop experiencing pain, you will have a desire to live.
Thanks for reading and I apologize for the mistakes!
