Summer in the desert a change to see
The results of a rainmaker blessing
The mountain on the left, Antelope
Was covered in the deepest of clouds
So in awe after last night's prayer
I woke and watched in awe
I thought of you my miracle mountains
A blessing hidden to my eyes
Storks bring the clouds
Like a new babe to suck
On fertile peaks so high
Miracle mountains mists
Like your full lips moistened kiss
Your eyes the color of lakes
That change with seasons
Yet never white as ice
Pure silk alabaster jars
The call of the birds of the prairie
Who sings in the rain
And dances in the mud
And slips as the barrels wet catch
To drill deep for the water of life
Sometime late in the night
Like a blanket of kisses
With a spark that not fires
Yet all the deep passion was there
I awoke to coffee in gray dawn
This morning so naughty
You are and I wonder where
You call and I wonder why
Will you ever arrive here again
Where a stork might somehow fly by
It might come to rest with a bundle
It may land somewhere nearby
In a place so dusty and dry
Sometimes covered in mists
They're all prayers said with a sigh
They are all just the dreams
Of all the men and women
That never seem to come nigh
For a long time this never happened
First one ancient said to me
That it never was like this
When he was young
A hundred years ago the rivers
Flowed with life happily
I thought he was senile
As he described this place
Where he had life all of his life
Except for the war when he went forth
He said this place used to be nice
Then there was an old woman
She was just like him
At the same school
A century ago along with two more old men
They all said the same thing
No one would listen
There'd been a great change in the sky
The was full of rivers back then
What was it had changed and why
When elderly like this speak
To any who would hear
Only the fool doesn't stop
To hear them and listen
Hear in July after the battles of war
The raindrops fall from on high
The elderly passed away who told me
Before this re-change was began
Someday soon it just might happen
The waters of life will flow again
The mountain on the left is recovered
In clouds in the miracle mountains of mist
So long dry and barren without life
Will the stork pass so close soon to it
