The purchase of Petros can be processed by the digital wallet

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, recalled that the first Venezuelan cryptocurrency, the Petro, backed by oil and mining wealth, could be acquired through the digital wallet.

"With the Digital Wallet, you can buy Petro with other cryptocurrencies and convertible currencies," the head of state wrote in his Twitter account.
The Petro may be acquired by legal entities and natural persons by entering the website www.petro.gob.ve, then downloading, from the telephone or computer, a wallet or digital wallet, which will have a user and personal password.

In the tweet that President Maduro published on Wednesday, the process for the purchase of the cryptocurrency is detailed:
The process of direct purchase through the web portal will be enabled in the next 15 business days and from November 5, Venezuelans will be able to acquire Petros in sovereign bolivars.

The Venezuelan cryptoactive seeks to promote international trade and the economy of the country.
