Hello everyone,
I saw a post of someone who was in need of help so I asked them to tell their story to shed some light on the situation in Venezuela at the moment. Here is the article, and if you feel like showing your support, their reddit account is: https://www.reddit.com/user/Llolaila

SURVIVING VENEZUELA

Hello I am a young Venezuelan who thanks to the crisis that my country suffers I have had to (at a young age) resort to generate extra money through the Internet.
I'm sure that many of you abroad have heard about the crisis that is hitting Venezuela, about the lack of food, medicine, the very high inflation, basic products, among other things, but what I'm sure, is that you cannot imagine the exact magnitude of the problem that the country suffers ... but I'm writing this... so that you have a better idea about the hell that is unleashed in the country.

Ok, first let's start by talking about the lack of food, you don't get basic food like meat, chicken, fish or bread ... or rather you can get it, but you have to pay an exaggerated price and also pay certain people to get you those products ... in short you have to pay a person and also pay the exaggerated price of the product. For example, image that a meat costs 2$, in Venezuela that meat would cost approximately 20$ and in addition you would have to pay 12$ to a person so that he gets it for you.... If I know, it's complete madness. I could keep writing more about it, but I don't really feel like it because I get depressed more than I am.

The subject of medicines is something similar to food, but worse... since here you can't even get them through third parties and in the pharmacies there is absolutely nothing (at least food is available, but with very expensive prices). Here the solution is to import the medicines, which is very expensive... which is why it results in people dying in hospitals from diseases such as a simple infection, but the most alarming case is that the majority of cancer patients do not receive the treatment and therefore die, of course, but neither should we underestimate the patients with diabetes who do not provide insulin.

Finally, let's talk about inflation as the cause of all the previous ills and how people have looked for ways to survive it. First the dollar is the reference currency of our country since with it we import goods and other things... the price of the dollar in November 2017 was 8 million bolivars and now in November 2018 it is 32 million, in short, there is talk of a percentage of 40,000% and according to the IMF an inflation of 12,000,000% is expected for the year 2019... yes, the panorama is not encouraging at all. The minimum wage is only enough to buy 1 bread and 1 water, so the population has started to become FreeLancer to earn a few dollars a month to survive in Venezuela, something that has helped me enough to give me certain tastes like going to the movies or partying, another thing that people do is mine bitcoins because energy is very cheap (it is as if they pay less than $1 of electricity a month) so it is very feasible.

You know, if you see a Venezuelan abroad have mercy, help them because they abandoned their mothers, fathers, relatives to look for a better future outside.

Recently only certain people spam to abuse this service, Please make it far somehow it doesn't let the rest of us use it :(

What would you suggest?

Limit each person to 3 votes per every time it needs to get voting power again.

I want to thank you for your suggestion. I will be implementing something similar to this shortly.
Seeing as there's a chance that it may take a long time before it'll need to recharge I've decided that a good implementation would be:
3 upvotes per 24 hours or until recharge.

I'd love to hear your opinion on this and if you feel this is not good enough.

Even better! I look forward to seeing it soon.

Hi Jason,
Just sending a quick message to let you know the update is complete. Please let me know if you notice anything not working as it should. I've ironed out all the bugs I myself have noticed but of course there's always something that goes undetected :)

Have a nice day and thank you for suggesting this implementation.

Thanks for implementing it! I’ll let you know if I see anything else but I love the service you offer!
