The Vespa Sprint was made by Vespa from 1965 - 1979. It comes in two versions. The first came out named Vespa Sprint, made until 1974. The next model was named Vespa Sprint Veloce, made from 1969 to 1979, so both had been out simultaneously from 1969 to 1974. The largest Sprint Veloce update was on the machine. The design was changed from its old 2 port design with the addition of a third port transfer at its ultimate peak. The compression ratio was also increased from the 7.5: 1 Vespa Sprint to 7.7: 1 on the Vespa Sprint Veloce. The original model had no recess / signal lights but Sprint Veloce eventually exported all to U.S after 1973 had a reting light as standard equipment to satisfy American regulations. Bajaj Chetak, produced by India, is a duplicate of Vespa Sprint.
