RE: Why I Promote Mindful Eating, Not a Vegan Diet

in #vegan7 years ago

I would like to be on a vegan diet but its very hard. Unless you have the means to grow you own, which in the UK is very very hard due to the weather. Also in my case the space to grow. This means you have to buy, which is very expensive. I buy organic 90% of the time but unless you have a much better income than min this is difficult.

As much as I would love to do this diet its just not available to me due to my finances and geography!

I haven't been to the UK, but everywhere I have been, meat is one of the most expensive food products, along with dairy. It's definitely cheaper to grow your own, but lentils, beans, broccoli, etc. are all drastically cheaper options than animal products in my experience. I can cook meals of organic, vegan, gluten-free food for generally less than $1/pound, just by buying some things in bulk.

Yep I am getting stuff delivered lentils and the like don't eat meat. But its the organic that is expensive, not by a large amount. Leaning more menus. In general UK is expensive. It the taxes in total all their extortion I pay nearly £450 a month that were the money goes ;(
