Vegan Chex Mix
Today a family friend dropped off some chex mix for us that I used to be able to eat but because I’m vegan I can’t now. So my mom and I went to Whole Foods to get ingredients for a vegan version! Here’s what we used:
Half a bag of any chex cereal
1 container of corn nuts
Some cashews, pretzels, and sesame sticks
First pre-heat the oven to 285 degrees Fahrenheit
We mixed everything in the bowl (EXCEPT for the banana chips and dried cranberries, those go in at the end)
For the sauce, you’ll need
Vegan worcestershire
Vegan butter
Garlic salt
Garlic powder
Use equal parts melted butter and worcestershire (we used about 1/4 cup)
A teaspoon of garlic salt and powder each
Next we poured the sauce into the bowl while stirring the mix around making sure everything was coated. We left a little bit to pour onto the baking trays.
Pour the mixture onto the trays and bake in the oven for about 30 min. Take them out every 10 min to stir. Once it’s done you can add the banana chips and dried cranberries and it tastes so yummy :)
