Extreme hunger, pollution, poverty (I could probably go on for hours).....Bottom line wouldn't you like to reduce your footprint and help save our planet? The first step is to get information...Information from various sources...Knowledge is power! When you know better you do better.
My journey began when we went to a recycling centre for a kayak and ended up with a bird cage- Hey it was a huge birdcage and cost $25.00! Stay tuned for Chapter 2!

What a bargain, our first thought was to turn around & sell it on eBay. Somehow we ended up getting our daughter a budgie (Stitch is his name, I know you were wondering ;) But wait what has this got to do with saving the planet?? I know you're wondering that as well. Read on if you dare & all will be revealed. I think Stitch weighs maybe 200 grams (if that-he refuses to let me weigh him). He talks, he whistles, sings, plays with our dog (totally different chapter), he follows us around the house, he likes lettuce and sometimes even tolerates my guitar playing. Isn't he cute! Which has lead me to a revelation.... Stitch is a sentient being he has feelings, he has good days and sometimes can have a bad day (not very often, but he can be cranky at times). Would I eat Stitch? Would I eat our dog ?(Chilli is her name-thank me later). Then why the hell do people eat other sentient beings? And think that it's okay? Well it's not okay...If you wouldn't kill an animal why would you even contemplate paying someone else to do it? I choose to be a veganator! You can too! There are some fantastic recipe ideas at your finger tips that don't involve slaughtering or torturing animals...
